Happy New Year!

I would like to wish happy new year for all the fans of the Napi Rock and Roll International Edition.

This blog was created to share the English speaking songs of Hungarian Rock and Roll and Rockabilly bands. This goal will be valid for the future, but a little change. There won't be daily updates on the blog any more. If an English song will be posted on the Hungarian blog it will be shared on the International Edition blog too. The reason is lack of time.
I hope everybody who red the posts in the past will read the new posts too.

Hot Road Band - Blue Suede Shoes & Hound Dog

Today the Hot Road Rockabilly Band from Miskolc, Hungary will play a medley for us. It includes Blue Suede Shoes & Hound Dog. It seems the band won't play any more. Marcsi the singer moved to Germany, and Bence the double bass player starts a carrier in a classic music scene.

The Bits - Eight Days a Week

Today the Beatles fans will be happy. The Bits from Budapest will play the famous song Eight Days a Week for us. Enjoy!

Lakeside 2017: The Prison Band - Jeannie Jeannie Jeannie

This time the Prison Band gets an old Eddie Cochran song, namely the Jeannie Jeannie Jeannie and played it on their own festival, the Lakeside Weekend.

Best 16: Fifty's Heaven - Be Bop A Lula / Summertime Blues / Gene And Eddie

Today the Fifty's Heaven will play the famous Stray Cats medley Be Bop A Lula / Summertime Blues / Gene And Eddie. It was played on a closed door birthday party. Enjoy!

The song Yes Tonight Josephine was originally played by the British band The Jets, but today the B'15 Truckabilly Trio will present it from teh Amigo Bar, Budapest.

The Sonny and his Wild Cows plays My Bucket's Got A Hole In It in 2011. So before the HD quality, image stabilizer and stereo microphones.

Jam session - I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone

The Jam session is essential part of the Lakeside Rock and Roll Festival. This time the song I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone was performed by the buffet.

Lakeside 2017: Forró Rágógumi - Boppin' The Blues

The band Forró Rágógumi played on the main stage on the Lakeside Weekend this year. They perfromed the Carl Perkins classic Boppin' The Blues among others.

Best 16: Pedrofon - Non c'è due senza quattro theme

Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill, the Italian actors are very popular in Europe, because they played in several action comedy. One of them called Double Trouble or in Italian Non c'è due senza quattro. That's why Pedrofon keeps the song Non c'è due senza quattro theme on their setlist. They also take over the scene from the movie.

Best 16: Mystery Gang - Sometimes I Feel Like a Rockabilly Star

Once the Mystery Gang also played on NAAF (National American Car Festival) in Komárom. They played their fampus classic song Sometimes I Feel Like a Rockabilly Star.

Gesarol fet. Gábor Szakács - Born To Be Wild

The Gesarol plays Rock and Roll and (like in this case) classic rock. In this video they got a guest singer called Gábor Szakács, who was the original singer of the band back in the 60s. They perfromed together the classic Steppenwolf song Born To Be Wild on the Aranykút festival, Budapest.

Nyughatatlan - Get Rhythm

The old Johnny Cash song Get Rhythm is not purely Country, not purely Rockabilly. But it perfect for Nyughatatlan , who played it on the NAAF (National American Car Festival) in Komárom, Hungary.

Lakeside 2017: Pedro and the Dogboomers - Twenty Flight Rock

It is a great fun to see the concert on the coast stage. You can swim, or lay on your sunbed and hear bands like Pedro and the Dogboomers who plays such songs like Twenty Flight Rock on the famous Lakeside Weekend.

Best 16: Duckers - Lonsome Train

The Duckers is a frequent guest on the yearly event of the Cadillac Club Hungary. This year they performed the song Lonesome Train among others.

Best 16: Crazy Cat & the Blue Moons - Love Me

Love Me - asks the members of Crazy Cat & the Blue Moons. The band performed this Buddy Holly song in the famous Amigo bar, Budapest.

Nitus and the Rollin' Dice - Mercy

Unfortunately the band Nitus and the Rollin' Dice not exists any more. It's a pity, look, how they played the song Mercy on the Lakeside Weekend in 2013!

Rat Rod - Sleepwalk

The band Rat Rod will be very rage guest on the English blog due to the fact, that they only play songs in Hungarian. There is one exception, and this will be presented today: the well known Sleepwalk is an instrumental song. It also proves how much can Chris, the guitar player handle it.
By the way, the band was formed on the basis of the Hor Toad Band. Some members has left the hometown, and the remaining ones created a new one.

Lakeside 2017: Roll' Skate Boogie - I Ain't Got You

The Roll' Skate Boogie plays frequently on the Lakesdie Weekend festivals, although the line up of the band often changes. This year the played the song I Ain't Got You as well.

Best 16: Redneck Roadkill - Road to Hell

The Redneck Roadkill perfromed a very special country version of the song Road to Hell in the Amigo Bar in 2014.

Best 16: Rockin' RockCats - Cool Off Baby

I know this is the second video from the Rockin' RockCats, but this was a simple coincidence. They take place on both list, the Lakeside 2017 and Best 16 list too. so today please welcome the song Cool Off Baby from them.
